Licence
Three licences, on purpose.
Higashi Web Stats is not under a single licence. Which one applies depends on which part you are using.

What covers what
- HWS core — the self-hosted application you install: AGPL-3.0-or-later. Run it for yourself and it asks nothing of you. Offer it to others over a network as a modified version and you must offer them your source.
- The browser tracker — the snippet you embed in your own pages: MIT. Embedding it places no licence obligation on your website whatsoever. That is the whole reason it is MIT.
- The shared reading rules — MIT. The free product and the paid service run the same rules, so a Live reading and a local reading of the same data agree.
- HWS Live — the paid service: proprietary, all rights reserved. It is not part of the open-source distribution and its source is not published. What you buy is described in the terms of sale.
- The name and logo — not licensed by any of the above.
Complete source for the AGPL parts, including the frontend source used to build the assets that ship, is at github.com/SteveHigashi/hws. The release tarball carries that source too, so a copy of it is enough to rebuild and modify HWS.
