Talk to a person
There is no ticket system and no chat widget. Email reaches someone who worked on the software.
Replies usually within one working day, and always within three.
Where to write
Four addresses, so your message lands in the right place
| About | Write to |
|---|---|
| Buying, billing, cancelling Invoices, refunds, changing from monthly to yearly, a key that has not arrived. |
jot@jotnotes.com |
| A security problem Anything that affects the safety of an install or the data in it. Report it here rather than in public, and you will get an answer. |
security@jotnotes.com |
| A bug, or something that should exist The free software is open, so an issue on the repository is seen by everyone and gets a better answer than an email. |
github.com/SteveHigashi/hws |
| Your own data Asking what is held about you, or asking for it to be deleted. HWS keeps almost nothing, and the privacy page says exactly what. |
jot@jotnotes.com |

Message sent
It has been delivered and it will be read by a person. You will get a reply at the address you gave, usually within one working day and always within three.
Your reference, if you need to chase it:
Would rather just email? jot@jotnotes.com reaches the same person, and security@jotnotes.com for anything about safety. The form is only here so you do not have to open a mail client.
Before you write
Two things that answer most emails
The software is free and runs on your own server. Nobody here can see your install, your dashboard or your numbers, so a question about what your own data shows usually needs a screenshot. Send one.
HWS Live is a key, not an account. If a key has not arrived, check the address you paid with first, then write with the PayPal transaction id and it can be traced in a minute.
Who you are writing to
JotNotes
HWS and HWS Live are made and sold by JotNotes, a one-person software business. That is the honest size of it: there is no support desk behind these addresses, which is why the answer comes from someone who knows how the thing works.
