Your HWS Live key
Your HWS Live key connects your local HWS — Higashi Web Stats — install to HWS Live. It is a key, not a login: there is no account on this site to sign in to.
Connecting it
Three steps, in your own dashboard
- Open HWS and go to Intelligence. Find the HWS Live card.
- Paste the key from your email into the field labelled Live key, and tick send weekly report.
- Press Save. When the key has been accepted, the card shows Watching.
If it says Not watching
Two things to check
First, check that you pasted the whole key. An HWS Live key is 46 characters. Paste it again without adding spaces before or after it.
If the key is complete and the card still says Not watching, check that the site can reach live.hws.jotnotes.com. HWS must be able to contact that address to send Live data and receive the Live response. Installs set up before October 2026 point at intel.cloudanalyst.net instead, which still works and needs no change.
A common mix-up
The Live key is not an AI key
The HWS Live key is not an Anthropic or OpenAI key. The provider-key field is a different setting, used for Bring your own AI key, and it runs on your own model provider account. Pasting one into the other will not work.
